I knew I wanted to be a successful author, and twenty years later, I made that happen for myself. But even though I had big dreams, I never knew how far self-publishing would take me. I am the award-winning author of five novels and your new
self-publishing and author branding coach. Although I saw some success as an author back in my hay day, with over 50,000 book sales in under two years, it wasn’t until I became a full-time business owner that I realized the importance of branding, marketing strategies, and the implementation of systems to propel my business to six figures in less than one year.
I found that a lot of self-published authors are lacking the necessary knowledge and tools to have long-term, sustainable careers. Like me, they are missing what I learned only when I became an entrepreneur. So my goal is to bridge the gap between authorship and entrepreneurship to create a new wave of successful AUTHORpreneurs. Because I believe that if you’ve ever dreamed of becoming a successful author, then you deserve a shot.
Everyone wants to know how I sold 50,000 copies. Truth is, I don’t know.
I was just like most self-published authors when it came to my book business, risking it all with random tactics that lacked strategy and intention. So my rapid success didn’t last and, even worse, I couldn’t repeat it.
I was on top of the world when I published my first two books, with tens of thousands of book sales, booked out events, and I was being eye balled by literary agents and major publishing houses.
